The Corpus of Spanish in German-Speaking Regions (CORESAA) is a linguistic corpus that was originally created with the aim of documenting the language of Spanish-speaking residents of Vienna. Over time, the scope of the project was expanded to include Spanish speakers from across the German-speaking world, enabling a more comprehensive and comparative analysis of migration patterns and language contact.

The project underlying the corpus was initiated by Prof. Martha Guzmán Riverón and is designed to provide researchers interested in studying Spanish in migration contexts and the effects of language contact with a comprehensive and flexible research tool. CORESAA combines detailed linguistic data with sociolinguistic metadata, thereby enabling well-founded empirical studies on variation, change, and language use in migrant communities.

CORESAA was designed and programmed by Christopher Owain Carter as part of a doctoral thesis. It is a work in progress and new features will be added as the project progresses.
